This will be our last post on posthope and Hugh, Al and I would like to thank you all for the tremendous support you have given us over the last few months. Mum's thanksgiving service went off exactly as we and she would have wished. There was a fantastic turnout and the church was full to bursting. We hope those that had to stand were not too uncomfortable. Claire's eulogy was a tour de force and captured Mum so well (it is captured on tape, along with the rest of the service). All the other parts of the service were just as Mum would have wanted too and many thanks to all those who contributed. We were particularly touched by all the young BYRDS that attended and by Sophie and Toby for doing the readings, representing "the young" as Mum liked to say. We are able to donate about £1500 to the church and Action for the Blind.

we can't thank the Goess-Sauraus enough for the use of the barn, Sharon and her helpers for the catering and all those working at Temple which made it such a fantastic venue. We hope you enjoyed the occasion and for us, apart from our own personal memories of Mum, the day gave us an enduring and happy memory of all Mum achieved for which we are most grateful.

Again, many thanks to you all and kindest regards.
