Daisy's Rescue in the Florida Everglades

There are many dogs just like Daisy that need your help! Organizations like Hopeforpaws.org can use your support.  Sharing their work and bringing awareness to others, donating any amount you can spare, doing your part to help save an animal in distress.  Please take a moment and watch this rescue for Daisy.  She is one of the lucky dogs rescued by Hopeforpaws.org.  They are truly Dogs Angels.[...]

Tell True Religion to Stop Selling Fur!

Tell True Religion to Drop Fur

After years of being fur-free, True Religion has started selling animal fur, including a vest with falsely advertised and labeled raccoon dog. The label says the fur comes from China, where raccoon dogs have been documented to be skinned alive. With many warm and fashionable alternatives available, there's no reason to wear animal fur, and no reason for True Religion to sell it![...]

We owe it to Stallone

I've seen horrible things in my life that I will never understand how or why they exist. There are things going on every second somewhere that I may never even be able to or want to imagine. All I know is that I can not ignore it.  [...]

Giving Hope To Nala

When I look into the eyes of pure innocence I see hope.  Hope that more people will get involved and save a life.  To make a difference for these animals that have no one in their lives.  They deserve kindness and respect.  They have the purest souls I've ever seen.  Please take a moment to watch this video and look into the eyes of Nala.  You will see what I see and you will be inspired to get involved.  Help support organizations like www.hopeforpaws.org  and change a life today...even if it's just by sharing this message to bring awareness.[...]

Acts of Human Kindness

Last year, Eldad and Audrey Hagar found Fiona -- sick, blind, flea-infested and covered in grime -- in a trash heap in South Los Angeles.

"She was just so defeated," said Eldad Hagar, who captured the rescue on video, said. "Blind, filthy, everything was going against her. There seemed to be no hope there."[...]

Deadly Destinations

"Habitats" made by humans may appeal to visitors who only look at them for a few minutes, but they're still cages for the animals who are forced to spend their whole lives in them. We buy our cotton candy and move on with our lives; the animals are there to stay. They are housed in cages that don't come close to the jungles, deserts, savannahs, and forests that are their natural homes. They have no choice in their diets, mates, or living companions. Every aspect of their lives is controlled and manipulated.
A few fleeting moments of distraction for humans mean a lifetime of misery for animals. If you care about animals, avoid animal exhibits like you would avoid poison ivy.[...]

Seal Slaughter

Today, Canada is allowing sealers in the Gulf of St. Lawrence to stalk baby seals across the ice, smash their heads in with clubs, ram hooks into their eyes or mouths, and drag them back to the boats, despite the fact that there's no market for the seal fur. They will also rip the skin off the seals' bodies while some of the animals are still alive. But you can help stop it![...]

The hardest thing I've ever had to do

I have children...they each have 4 legs & a tail.  They are my heart & soul.  So, when I was faced with making the decision to put one of them to sleep...it broke my heart into pieces.  Lucky would have been 10 this year.  Nearly 10 years of unconditional love he gave us.  Seeing him try to battle this horrible Cancer was so hard to watch.  As I saw him begin to struggle, I knew the time to say goodbye was creeping up on me so soon.  I wasn't ready but, I knew Lucky was.  He looked at me with his beautiful brown eyes each time he struggled.  He was so brave & such a trooper trying to still please me while he felt pain & discomfort.  I am so grateful to have had Lucky in my life & for the dogs I have today.  I could not have gone through this with out the love & support of my amazing husband.  He keeps me strong. [...]
