This weekend, two perfect storms are hitting both the East Coast and the West Coast of the USA. High winds, tides, rain, mudslides are affecting thousands of people. Also, transportation by air and land is a mess for many families.
It seems that is “one of those days”.
One way or another we have “one of those days” were everything seems to plot against us. Like a conspiracy theory type of situation happens to us from time to time.
We hate those types of days. But life has shown us that they will come, but also, will go away.
What I do when facing difficult times, is to remember “other times”. Yes, those special days that we keep in our minds. Great memories about family, friends, special occasions, trips, events like concerts, restaurants, etc.
In my case, as a pastor and follower of Jesus Christ, I remember His Word. Portions of the Holy Scripture to remember what the Lord wants me to focus on, particularly in very hard times.
I remember other dangerous or complicated moments in my life or my family, and it comes to my mind how God intervene and brought the solution, and then came His peace.
Is good to look in the rear view mirror of or lives from time to time. But without forgetting that we have a extraordinary road ahead of us. New challenges, many more of “those days”. But remember, we’ve been here before. Let’s pray, have faith, wait patiently on the Lord, and learn in the process.
“Those days” don’t last forever. Amen for that!
