I am delighted to tell you that we have a discharge date! If our little warrior passes her car seat test, and the thorough physical exam from her doctor, we are told that our little girl will be coming home tomorrow morning!! (Saturday). This is amazing news and we are so grateful. She's been making such great progress each day over the past week and we are so proud of how far she has come. She has surpassed her birth weight and is now 6 lbs, 6 oz. She's been taking full feeds and doing so awesome at breastfeeding. All the nurses and doctors love to dote over Brin and constantly comment on her headful of hair. She will be seen by her pediatrician Monday morning, and will need fairly frequent visits at first following discharge. If you think of it, we'd love prayer for the transition to home. While I'm thrilled she's finally coming home, I'm also nervous, to be honest. She's been getting such great care over the past 16 days, it'll be an adjustment for all as she is welcomed home and transitions into our home and schedule. I think it'll be the biggest change for Nora, as she is no longer the center of attention and will have trouble understanding what our new reality means. Would love prayers for all of us during this time. We so appreciate all of your messages, prayers and acts of service towards us during this challenging time. Thank you for praying and lifting us up, we are forever grateful for your consideration of our family. God bless.
