Barry's Breast Cancer Battle
Just over ten years ago, Barry's twin brother succumbed to a particularly aggressive Leukemia not commonly seen in men his age. Gary put up a gallant fight but the cancer won. It was incredibly hard on everyone - our aging mother, Gary's awesome wife and young daughters - and Barry, who was devastated to lose his former womb-mate. Fast-forward to 2013 and now Barry has been diagnosed with an uncommon cancer as well. Male breast cancer can be more aggressive that the standard variety women encounter and despite a mammogram a year prior to diagnosis, Barry's tumor was not diagnosed until the cancer had advanced to Stage 3. We plan to help him win this battle and this website is intended to help. Sure hope this description can be edited in the future because there is so much more that I have to explain but I'm out of time.
