August 24, 2016 Surgery scheduled for September

For me this is a good day. I met with the surgeon this afternoon and she eased my over-active mind.  I was VERY afraid the results of the sonogram I had this past Monday (8/22) were not going to be good enough for surgery and I would have to return to chemotherapy.  The results were unchanged since the sonogram I had in June. I look at this as a good thing - that monster in my breast did not increase in size and previously shrunk down to a surgical level!  All is fine with the current shrinkage of the inflammatory breast cancer and we have scheduled September 19, 2016 as the surgery date to do the amputation of my right boobie!  I can not have reconstruction for two years because of the type of breast cancer.  Looks like I'll have one titt just hanging around for a couple of years; glad my bikini days are over.  Oh, lord, those days were over long ago!!! Who am I kidding?

So happy to hear that you are able to move forward with the surgery; I know you are anxious for all of this to keep moving in a positive direction. I always get a smile from your sense of humor. I never had a "bikini day." LOL I am always here for you my friend. Love You
