Hi Troy, I applaud you in your witness of perseverance, and relentless inspiration that is shown through your character, and now, seeing some of the photos posted online -your smile- definitely is a genuine expression of the soldier I've always seen you as. Ever since we were kids playing guns, or just marching on with life as it presents it own diverse challenges, and demands, way to be.
In this hour, I can only image what you are going through, it must truly suck. In the middle of it all however, I think of the way all of the members of our bodies have been created to function in the way they were created to function. When for whatever reason certain members fail there is a place of hope, peace, and assurance when our hearts and souls are filled with the Spirit of God. To receive and believe in our hearts the empowering Spirit of God facilitates the potential for all of our members to be infused with the same Consuming Fire, enabling power, and curing touch. In other words, when we have given our all, the Lord God has made provision through his Son Jesus Christ who has made a way for us to be made whole, to be healed, and to be kept in his abiding love. So before I get to preachy, after all we are from McGrath, we have hung out at McGuires...(just playing) I just wanted to drop a line, and say I'm praying for you, and with you and others, I'm believing you will adapt and overcome once again!
Philippians 4:6 says, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus."
