As some of you may know, Christian was admitted this Wednesday for his next Chemotherapy treatment. And yes, that means we are spending the entire Thanksgiving break in the hospital.
While it has not been his preferred place to be, we have been fortunate enough so far to have had visitors from CT, TX, DE and southern MD come through to chat, play video games, laugh and just let us know that we are in their thoughts. Not to mention Aaron & Daniel have been here daily to help maintain our family time as much as possible.
We appreciate so much the love and support that we have received from family and friends. We continue to receive care packages for the family, gift cards for food, cards with supportive thoughts & prayers and a continuous stream of text messages, phone calls and emails.
Christian continues to have some issues with his leg healing completely. It will be an ongoing issue as we head further into Chemotherapy, as Chemotherapy is designed to prevent healing in order to do its job. We have had to endure extra trips to the ER and another unexpected admission due to a leg infection, but we continue to move forward and consult with the doctors, knowing that God has a plan.
Moving forward, Christian will be back for another Chemotherapy treatment next Wednesday for another 4-5 days. And, the following week, we will be back for 3 more days before getting almost a 2 week break. Currently, the doctors believe he will be done with Chemotherapy by March, but that will stand only if we have no further delays.
As we head swiftly into the holiday season, we pray for you all and your families. Hoping that we can all see the importance for loving and supporting each other in all circumstances and on every day, for no particular reason.😘
