Lena has been discharged early from the hospital after a second round of chemo and is now enjoying nesting into her new home! She is happy to be out of the hospital and back in her own bed. Her numbers are getting better and better every day and she is enjoying spending time lounging on her patio.
She has found a donor and her transplant is scheduled! On July 24th, Lena will check in to OHSU for a month long stay to receive another, more intense round of chemo and then her transplant. This stay, as well as the 100 days following will be a critical time for Lena. She will be very limited in what she is able to do, but she is incredibly thankful for the support of her community.
Though she is doing much better this discharge, she still needs a lot of rest. She is grateful for all the texts, calls, and cards, and will respond as she has energy.
Thank you to everyone who has donated, or sent messages of support. Each message or donation really makes a difference for Lena, so keep sending the love!
