Update - February 7th, 2018

It’s been a while since our last update.  For that we are sorry.  Chris has continued to receive treatment and just started a new cycle yesterday.  We find ourselves still battling all kinds of different symptoms, symptoms that are always changing.  Very seldom do we see the same things.  To give you an example early one week, he started getting sick and throwing up after each meal.  It took us 2 days to figure out that it might be lactose.  Sure enough, we cut out all milk products and the issue stops.  This is just one example of a lot that he is dealing with day in and day out, week in and week out.

As far as progress goes, it’s been a mixed bag.  He continues to struggle to stop losing weight.  While he eats very well, he doesn’t seem to absorb anything he eats.  Cutting out lactose has had a significant impact to his diet; however he has always been a very good eater, so he still has a lot of options available.

One of the symptoms that we have dealt with from the beginning was the need to have his abdomen drained for the buildup of fluid.  This was a every two week procedure that drained a significant amount of fluid.  Recently, it’s been about every 3 weeks and the amount of fluid has dramatically decreased.

This battle has really taken a toll on Chris.  This cancer is ruthless and treatment is just about as bad.  I cannot even begin to explain how determined Chis is to continue to fight though this.  His resolve has never wavered and no matter how bad it has gotten, he finds a way to just push though.

Through all of this, he still remains positive.  We ask that you continue to think of Chris and support him.  We appreciate everyone’s support and prayers.  We hope everyone is having a great start to 2018.  Please keep in Chris in your prayers and ask God to give him the strength and the Doctors the answer for him to Upset Cancer!
