Chris’s fight to beat cancer came to an end this morning at 4 am.

We were admitted to the ICU on Monday morning.  By Wednesday, we were told the cancer had progressed to a point where any further treatment would prove toxic.  Chris never gave up and as sick as he was, continued to press the doctors for a treatment plan.  While his heart, mind and soul were still in the battle, the rest of his body was not.

Saturday at 5 pm, we returned home with Chris.  At 4 am, with his mother, father, sisters, grandpa Atsinger, grandma Dolan next to him, he quietly and peacefully passed away.

With our most deepest and sincere gratitude, we would like to thank each and every one of you who has supported Chris and prayed for Chris during his battle.   You lifted up Chris’s spirts and gave him the support he needed to engage this battle.  We truly appreciate you!

While we take comfort in knowing that his is without pain, at peace, and finally resting in Heaven, make no mistake, this world is a darker place today.  Anyone who knew him, can attest to that.  We lost a great man, a great son,  a great brother, a great grandson, and a true great friend.

Rest peacefully Christopher, until we meet again.

Shannon, Victor, Emily n Lizzie, and extended family, Our hearts are broken right along with yours, at your loss of your sweet young man who fought so hard. We can’t fathom how he could have been spared as an infant, only to be denied his adulthood now. It just doesn’t make sense to our mortal minds. Shannon, you, Victor and the girls have been awesome these past months, and we hope that with time and good memories, you can find some peace. I’ve been picturing Chris in Esther’s arms since we heard the news, and that has helped a little. You all have our love and continued prayers for peace. Love, John and Dorry

We are so very sorry to hear this news. He was taken far too soon from this world, and is someone that we will hold up as a true HERO for how hard he fought. Thank you all for sharing updates along this journey, which I am sure was difficult for you to do. May he rest in peace. You are all in our prayers.
