We went in for Round 2 on May 24th and had a minor hurdle. Before treatment can happen, blood work is done to ensure levels are where they need to be. Test results showed Craig’s white blood cell count and ANC (bone marrow production) were super low, but luckily the doctor gave us the go ahead to begin treatment anyway (which made Liz happy so she could get a jump start on report cards!)
After treatment, Craig took antibiotics to get WBC counts back up. He also had to receive injections to boost his bone marrow. At a follow up with the doctor, levels were back to normal. Aside from a new summer buzz cut, Craig still is feeling good after the 2nd treatment.
