Hey David,

Its hard to believe that you are gone.... I will enjoy the laughs we shared and I'm glad I got the chance to work with you, see you weekly basis and help you achieve your financial goals. You are the most genuine, caring, thoughtful man. You will be missed. :( *For those that didn't know, I am David's Banker.

My heart goes out to your family - this is a heartbreaking loss.
Hard to think of anyone more kind and gentle than David. We talked often of our love for Montana, I thanked him often for encouraging my Town Hall membership, and I appreciated his willingness to step up as Nominations Chair when I was the CSI Chapter president. I will miss him very much. Peace be with you, my Friend.

I only worked with David for a short while, but we quickly bonded over a shared interest in Arcosanti. I was thrilled to learn that he had done early work for Soleri, and he obliged my curiosity and excitement. His kindness, gentleness, and good humor was appreciated; he was well loved and will be missed.

It was such a pleasure to get to know and to serve in the same organization as David. He was always a joy to talk to and a genuine person. The memories that stand out to me are just normal everyday events - phone calls to talk about specs and chit chatting in the buffet line - but I'll always remember how smart, caring and engaged he was during all those conversations. His passing really hits home for many of us in CSI and he will be dearly missed. All my best to his family and friends.

Dear David, I am at a loss and feel deep sadness that I can't help you through this tragic situation as you cross the threshold between life and death and are folded back into the Great Mystery. I am still holding out for a miracle not knowing at this moment where you are in this process. It has been a great honor and pleasure to have forged a relationship and friendship with you and Alex over the past many years and come to know about your deep love and commitment to family and friends. Your are an inspiration and great example of a wise and gentle man with a wry wit, keen sense of adventure and kind and gentle spirit. I believe or immortality lies in the fond remembrances and loving thoughts held in the hearts of all we have touched in any slight or deep way with love and kindness . Thank you for being truly yourself and sharing that with me. In deep Gratitude and with many blessings.

David, I cherish knowing you through our Montana connections and then Seattle.

You and Keri quickly befriended me when I showed up to a cookout at Parie's a couple of weeks after I moved to Seattle (13 years ago!). I remember us in Parie's back yard talking away. Then, a couple of years later, Keri asked me if I wanted to go to India and I said "sure" and she told me you were going too. What a trip that was and what a pleasure it was to get to know you even better.

You are one of the most kindhearted people I have ever known. Always so kind. Always so patient. Always up for an adventure. And such a great smile.

I am so sad to hear of what you are going through. You are so loved and cherished by so many people. May you feel that love. May it give you strength and may it bring you peace.

Sending you and your family much love,

David, we love you dearly. May your kind loving spirit soar in your next adventure. Photos of your concert for us a few months ago in the barn you helped design in 2000. With love and gratitude to you and your beautiful family, Judy & Jim

Oh my, David, with our kids growing up together in Spokane and Seattle from zero years to 38, and are still friends, and they still get together even now, and growing a big garden, and BSing about schools over pizza, and sharing tools, and being neighbors, we are sad and wish you well.

Dear David,
There is no way to put all the years of great and all the simple memories in this short space. Know that we love you and that we are keeping you--and Alex and Rory--in our thoughts.
Hugs from us to you.

Remember UW-D209 we worked on together? You were my project manager, mentor, and go-to guy at Integrus. You were the one who showed me how a well-rounded architect should be. I cannot thank you enough for how much I have learned from you.

Your kindness and generosity have also influenced all of us. My mom still talks about the fantastic dinner you prepared for us at your place. Penny, our barber, always tells me about how positive and motivated you are. And, remember the pot sticker party? That was the first and greatest party Debbie have experienced in the United State.

Thank you, thank you, and thank you. Thoughts and best wishes to you.

This is Ray and Jere. Please know that we are with you in spirit on this day. We are thinking of you…of your family there with you…of your friends and family who can’t be with you but are carrying you in their hearts, in our hearts, every second of the day.

What are we thinking? What are we carrying with us? Our love for you…our memories of the times we have spent together and the joy which you have brought into our lives…when we were together and, also, when we fondly recollect those times.

Your kindness, your gentle spirit, your non-judgmental approach to those who might be a little different…celebrating those differences, teaching others by doing so. Your sense of humor, your strong ties to family and friends, your ability to craft long stories out of seemingly inane life events…wonderful things, all.
The following is a prayer which we offer for you and for those who carry you on their hearts on this day. We offer it with our fond memories and love:

Watch thou, dear Lord,
with those who wake,
or watch, or weep tonight,
and give your angels charge
over those who sleep.
Tend to your sick ones, Lord Christ.
Rest your weary ones.
Bless your dying ones.
Soothe your suffering ones.
Pity your afflicted ones.
Shield your joyous ones.
And all, for your love's sake.
