Progress!

Good morning -

I just spoke with Daylan and he is on the mend - he is up and walking, the pain is becoming manageable and he is primarily just experiencing stiffness in his leg/hip.  He has been approved to get moved over the Shwab Rehabilitation Center!  It is part of the Mount Sinai facility at 1401 South California Avenue. There are a few logistics that we are figuring out before the move can be made, but wanted to at least get the news out that he has experienced some great progress over this last week. We will update you when he makes the move this week.[...]

Slowly but Surely

Good Morning -

I visited Daylan yesterday to find him sitting up in his chair!  He is obviously still in a lot of pain and has very limited mobility, but when you are in a bed for several days, even a chair can feel like an adventure.  The doctor checked him out and stated that the next step is going to be getting Daylan moving around.  He needs to have the strength and stability to walk independently before he can begin the full rehabilitation process in another facility.  Prayers for strength, healing and peace are appreciated.[...]
