Drake was taken to the ER at Mercy Hospital in Troy, MO by his mom and dad due to having a headache, which lead to him becoming crossed eyed and later couldn’t open his eyes without being dizzy. Mercy hospital completed a CT scan and found a mass on his brain. Drake was airlifted from Troy to Children’s Hospital in St Louis to be evaluated. Drake was admitted to the ICU at Children’s Hospital in St Louis and was diagnosed with having a pineal brain tumor which is a tumor that blocks the fluid from draining from his brain down his spine. He went into surgery around midnight to have a drain put in to start releasing some of the fluid/pressure. He did well through that procedure and woke up Saturday and was able to sit up in bed to watch tv. His vision was impacted so he was seeing double if he used both eyes. So they provided him with an eye patch to wear.
