Hi friends and family,
It was only three days ago when dad was taken to the ER and it was only two days ago since he was diagnosed with cancer. For all the family it has seemed like an eternity, time has moved in slow motion. Things began to clear up a bit because of the support of all our family that came to visit dad. Their input and support has been a breath of fresh air and has brought a sense of comfort into the whole situation. As for dad's cancer things are the same. The doctors are sure of advanced stage 4 colon cancer that has metastasized. We are talking to family and friends who have been through this before and their support has been overwhelming. We are pushing to get dad into a cancer center that specializes in his kind of cancer. The hurtles are the Cancer Center accepting dad's insurance, which would be nothing less than a miracle, coming up with the money, or somehow getting dad Medicare faster than the two month minimum we were told about.
There is a more immediate problem that we are asking for prayer for. Dad's colon seems to be completely blocked to the point of not being able to pass gas or stool. This is life threatening situation and the surgeon wants to operate asap. The problem is that this surgery that would clear his colon, would also greatly increase the chances of the cancer spreading and spreading with a vengeance. Dad seems to trust the surgeon and we are anxiously waiting the results and we will post when we find out.
Please prayer for God's wisdom in every decision we make, faith, miracles and whatever else the Lord leads. Thank you again for your support!

I worked as a temporary employee last year at Desert Cancer Foundation in Palm Desert, and highly recommend that you contact them for options. If Nit is still there, you want to talk to her. Our God is a God of miracles .... I am praying for acceptance and insurance to fly through with wings on it! Above all, we trust God and know he had a plan that surpasses our earthly knowledege, desires and wisdom. He is the righteous King of King and Lord of Lords .. Gary has alot of living left in him! Hi Gary, Dawn & Caleb...I have been thinking of and praying for you and would like to share information about a place in San Diego called the Gerson Center that has had miraculous results in treating "untreatable" cancer using alternative, non-toxic methods. Find info at http://gerson.org The great news is that you can begin to use their program immediately (much of it is diet-based) regardless of what you will do regarding traditional Western treatment. Read through the website and I think your views on cancer and our ability to cure it will change dramatically -- I know mine did. They also have a workshop in San Diego on June 12-14.
