Up to Date
Hi friends and family,
Here is an update to bring everyone up to speed.
Mom talked to dad's insurance company last week and had a very uplifting conversation with one of their nurses. She was very supportive and said that dad's insurance would be happy to pay for a second and third opinion. After some thought and prayer, dad and mom decided that they would like one more opinion from American medicine and they would like this to come from UCLA. Dad contacted them and sent his file over to be reviewd. Because of the advancement of the cancer, they put dad on an expedited list and we are praying that he awill be seen by the end of the week.
As for treatment in Germany, we are expecting a call back today. The doctor is looking over dad's file and will inform us on treatment options that are available.
Most importantly, dad and our whole family want everyone to know how encouraging and uplifting their comments are on posthope. Dad and mom visit the site everyday to be strengthend and encouraged.
Please continue to post and pray, both bring healing

Praying for you all continually, knowing that God loves you all so much and praying you feel His Love and Comfort each moment of this journey.
Your family is being lifted up before the Lord daily by more people than you can imagine. "And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work. " 2 Cor. 9:8
Gary ~ you and Dawn are in our thoughts and prayers every minute of the day, and often during the nights. Our trust is in God! Much love!! Mom and Dad
So grateful to God that you are stronger than we think. It was pleasant to see you doing worship at Church yesterday. You and your family remain in our prayers. Caleb…. you are amazing and I am sure your dad and mom are so proud of you, may God continue to supply all your needs at this time. I worship God and pray to Him on your behalf with this song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zlA5IDnpGhc. ~Yeti
Wow! This is wonderful news. Doors are being opened, amen!
I'm glad to hear that the insurance is coming through for you. I hope your upcoming visit to UCLA results in positive information. If not, perhaps the alternative treatment in Germany will be the answer. God is with you every step of the way. The prayers from your friends will keep that positive energy strong through this journey. You are always on our minds, and in our prayers.
Thank you Caleb for the update and thank you Jesus for your continuous mercy and grace. May you all feel the love coming your way every moment of every day. Your strength and faithfullness giving God the glory in all gives hope to so many!!!
Hi Gary and Dawn. Just letting you know that we think of you and pray for you many times a day. Thank you for the updates.. Gary & Cindi L
As your mom and dad said: You are never far from our thoughts. This is a tough time. Period. Thank YOU for being there for us, showing us how it's done. As Pastor Kraft often said, "God never wastes his children's pain." We believe that. We haven't seen you for many years, and yet--you hold a place in our hearts. Keep moving forward in anticipation of ultimate victory.
You are definitely in our thoughts and prayers so often during the day and yes, even when we wake up in the middle of the night! Greg is so looking forward to his trip out to visit all of you and I so wish I could come too! Thank you for taking the time to update us all on everything that the Lord is doing.... we love you all! Hugs!!
You're in my thoughts and prayers constantly uncle Gary. Love you all so much!
To Gary and your entire family, you are in our thoughts and prayers and all should be encouraged by the power of positive thinking and the commitment to having faith in God's strength! Love Rick, Donna, Jourdyn and Shannon Coyne
Dave and I are praying for you, Gary. Dave's older brother was given 6 mo to live with lung cancer and that was almost 10 years ago. He went to Stanford Hospital in SF and got a second opinion and got involved in some trial medication. He has had a good quality of life. He and Dave are still Elk and deer hunting together.... Amazing! I know that different hospitals have their cancer specialties. I am thankful that Liz posted this on her Facebook. We are watching the updates and you and Dawn are in our prayers. Dave & Jan York

Thankful that Father is leading all of you step by step. Asking that He make your path straight and open each door. Asking, too that you will see His hand in it all and feel His peace!
I want to leave you a prayer this morning gary and family...Dear Lord, sometimes things happen in my life that I just don’t understand. But I know You hold the box top to the puzzle pieces, and You know how the pieces all fit together. I trust You, Lord. Though Your ways may twist and turn as through a maze, I know that You make no mistakes. You are good…all the time. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
