Treatment Update and Fundraiser Information ~

Please donate to save a life. Our dad, Gary, has just been diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer. The doctors do not recommend chemo or radiation as it would not cure the cancer and cause a great deal of suffering. That leaves the option of alternative therapies, which are usually not covered by insurance. We need your help.

For anyone who knows our dad, Gary, they know he is a selfless, humble, loving man of God. He will drop everything to help his family and friends. Literally - when the recent typhoon hit the Philippines he jumped on a plane, flying into chaos and the unknown to bring his son and daughter in law home.

Our dad is the caretaker of the family, and his humility will probably prevent him from asking for financial help. But it is very much needed, so we are asking on his behalf.

While dad isn't one to express his desire, one thing he did make clear in recent years is how much he wanted grandchildren. He now has two beautiful granddaughters and his first grandson is on his way! We want more then anything for them to remember their grandfather. Any dollar amount is appreciated, and will help us fight this horrible disease.

Last week our goal was to make a decision about, who, what, when and where we will start treatment. 

We have decided that we will start treatment tomorrow, July 1, 2014. We will be walking through one of the doors God opened and all family members agree on! Having researched and spoken to clinics all over the word we have decided that Gary will start treatment here in the states. The doctor we have chosen is a Christian man who is well schooled in conventional medicine and alternative medicine. Thereby, much of Gary s treatment will not be covered by our medical insurance. There will also be travel and living expenses, as during the intensive stage of treatment we will have to stay in the town Gary will be receiving treatment. Gary wanted you to know that we have some personal resources to start into this  and we are committed to spending very last dime and then some to prolong Gary's life.
