Learning to live with Cancer
Good Morning From Chicago Gary and i had the privilege of meeting with Dr. Block and his staff yesterday. The end result is that Gary requires a surgery that requires a top surgeon. Dr. Block gave us several contacts in California and we will start calling them today!
Gary has been sick throwing up and nausea. Even in the middle of the side effects of this disease i find myself again feeling greatful to be blessed with a trip like this and to meet a doctor of such caliber. That's what I am learning....learning to be greatful even thankful ....not allowing Gary's physical sickness to turn our eyes from the joys of the day....the blessing in the storm. You see your posts...your fellowship...your cheering on the sidelines is a huge part of us being able to face this giant just like David faced his Goliath ! So today we move forward. ..we start calling surgeons. ...getting Gary's Health Insurance and records to the docs.
But while doing these things learning to trust the Lord with the outcomes.....praise Him for all he has done and all He is going to do. So I sign off .....fasten your seat belts get ready for take off......it looks like its going to b e a bumpy ride but together we will can even Enjoy some of the ride. Please continue to pray over the sale of our house...there are some strange things happening...we are praying this 30 day escrow will go through. .please pray for the property as it keeps getting vandalized.
Please continue to ask the Lord for healing...peace and guidance. Also special prayers for our family members. This is the first time we have faced such a serious illness and it is very difficult at times to know how to live with this in our family. Thank you for your prayers..post..your visits and everthing else you have done.

Thanks again for the update. Praying, Praying, Praying - for God to sustain Gary and lead you to a surgeon quickly, for a host of angles to hover over and protect your house and the sale to go through, for family unity, love, understanding at this stressful time. Lord Jesus give Dawn Your strength and energy, Your guidance and Wisdom as so much has fallen on her to do. Go before them and arrange all and let Your Peace and Love settle on them all.
A Scripture just came to me and I thought of you........."The eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the earth, to show Himself strong on the behalf of those whose heart is perfect toward Him!" Think of it!!!!!!
Dear Gary and Dawn, You are both so inspiring and perfect examples of trusting God and having joy in the midst of pain and suffering. We continue to lift you up in prayer (our small group, too) expecting a miracle and trusting God with the outcome. We love you, Sam & Karla
Your courage inspires me. I continue to pray for all of you and your extended family also. It is a blessing to see how the Lord continues to meet your needs. "His love has no limit; His grace has no measure; His power has no boundary known unto men. For out of His infinite riches in Jesus, He giveth, and giveth and giveth again." The battle is the Lords and He has already made all I'll his chiildren conquerors. Will continue to pray.
