One Year Ago ~
Good evening everyone, this last Saturday March 5, 2016, marked the one year anniversary of Gary's homecoming. On Saturday family all over the country took time to remember and celebrate some of Gary's favorite things! Throughout the day we shared picture's with each other and although it was very painful at times to see the many things and people Gary loved so much, it was also a wonderful time of remembering Gary and some of the things, mostly food, that he loved!
This last year has been rough and it is really hard to believe that Gary has been gone for one year. But our family is committed to supporting the things and people that Gary loved. Year two is the year for creating memorials of Gary's love for developing young lives. I will be posting the different ways we will be doing this and how you can be involved.
For now I want to thank you again, for your love and support of Gary and our family. We love each of you and look forward to connecting with each of you soon.
Blessings, Dawn

It is hard ti believe it has been a year, but there have been many chances for me to share Gary's story and words of faith with others who have found themselves up against a cancer. His words will always ring true and his faith and life continue to lift up those who are most in need. Thanks, Gary, for a life well lived. Stan
Dawn, While I didn't post pictures, Gary was on my heart on the 5th, and I thought of him as I visited areas of Santa Cruz I Know he loved, even up to his little beach home where he passed. Such a person like Gary had such an influence on us all, and we have changed for the better...permanently. Thanks, Lord, for sharing Gary with us and allowing us to be more like you, Amen. So hard to believe it's been a year. Would love to hear all about how you will be blessing young lives in honor of your love. Be well Dawn!

We have such wonderful memories and still tell of how fortunate we were to have his influence on our daughters and our lives. A life well lived indeed! God Bless you and your family. Shauna and family
We love you guys. And we are missing Gary. Blessings as you touch other lives in his memory.
Dawn, can't believe it's been one year. I know from experience that this was your hardest year and each day you've grown a little stronger. I think of Gary often and I'm sure he's there with you and your family every day. Sending you love as you continue with this new chapter in your life.
I remember singing a song with Gary in The Digbeats..."one day at a time, Sweet Jesus"...(he and I both sang harmony), That's all any of us can ask for...that God would guide us each day. I KNOW that He will continue to give you His strength, hope and joy in the days ahead when life makes no sense. Love and prayers and giant hugs :) sue
