Mom just completed her 9th chemo treatment this week! She is doing well despite a few weeks of difficulties. We ended up in the ER twice the last week of May/beginning of June due to some difficulties with Mom's GI tube. She was also so weak she could barely get out of bed. The up-and-down of Mom's condition is so difficult to take. Progress is ongoing, but there are plenty of set backs too. We try to remember Romans 8:28:
"And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose".
Please pray that we will be able to trust in God's long-term plan and not get too mired in the difficulties of the day-to-day.
Mom was doing a bit better when Steve and his family arrived last week. Their visit really helped to boost her spirits. They spent time with mom, but got to enjoy some of Hawaii's unique offerings like swimming with the sharks -- don't worry they were in a cage. Think they counted 15 - 20 sharks!!!!
The house has been quiet since Steve and his family left on Wednesday. However, with Dr's appointments on Thursday and Friday she kept busy.
Thank you so much for your continued thoughts and prayers.
