Every Little Bit Counts

Last week I got the results of my antibody blood work. While the change wasn't huge, it was a decrease of the most critical antibodies in regards to transplant. The numbers dropped from 72% to 67%. Again, not huge, but as my husband explained it's an additional 20 hearts possibly a match for me (out of 100) than before. I can't complain about that.

I'm staying safe during quarantine. Our county was approved to open for phase 1 starting tomorrow but our family will be living the life of masks and social distancing for a while. I cannot wait to eat out at a restaurant or go to a happy hour with friends!

Stay safe and thanks for all of the continued prayers and words of encouragement.

God Bless,

Tracy

Hey Tracy, I just stumbled onto your blog through Instagram. I got about halfway through this post and had to go back to the beginning. I am glad I did and thankful for your good news. I was diagnosed with HCM in 2014 but the symptoms started long before then. My last echo had my septum still at 22 mm. Increased sob lately has me wondering if it has changed. God gave me strength and blessings so that I could retire from wildlife law enforcement on Nov 1, 2019. I am now blessed to be a stay at home dad and homeschool my son. Thank you for honestly sharing your experiences. Just knowing that we are not alone in our fight gives us more strength. Never give up! Never quit. Shannon Smith

Thank you for reading. I have a tendency to ramble and for a few posts my thinking was anything but clear due to a nasty med I mentionedin at least one of those gambling posts. But all better now. Sort of! Lol I am sorry to hear you have HCM but I am thankful in knowing my case is rare for us that have the gene. I learned that the progressions and changes of HCM go far beyond our septum measurements. I think mine are 22 as well. It also depends on the technician doing the test, their equipment and the final reading. Stay in touch! If you ever have questions im here. I'm not an expert but I know a few great ones! That is so great you are able to stay home now. Thank you for serving and protecting our wildlife. God Bless!
