"Well, I truly am at a lack of words in response to the messages and comments that I have received over the past two days.I'm wondering how to even express my gratitude on behalf of myself, my husband, and my five kids.I must say that I have this inner peace about my condition and I know now that without a doubt it is the result of the overwhelming amount of support and encouragement that I am receiving. I believe that the prayers are working.I am so lucky to have my sweet sister, Joy Veron Linkenhoger as my advocate. Never has anyone been so dedicated to online research and words of encouragement than her. As many of you know, Joy is a fighter and I couldn't have asked for a better person to be my rock in this scary time.I am also so thankful to the survivors out there who have personally reached out with such encouraging, strong words that make cancer truly seem conquerable. I hope and pray I can also do the same one day for others facing this mess. My youngest son, Bonneau, asked me yesterday: Mom does this mean I can call you "a survivor"? I told him right now I'm a fighter, but I WILL be a survivor."

Love you all,

Prayer request written by her sister Joy Linkenhoger Veron: "Pray that she will feel God's everlasting peace, as she begins this battle ahead of her. She will be at MD Anderson and would love any messages. She may not be able to respond to everyone, but know she already appreciates the text messages of encouragement! We know she will get through this. Please lift up her chldren (Abby, Micah, Myles, Bonneau, and Mai Mai) and her husband (Michael), as well. God has her in the palm of His hands. Love you all!"
