Happy Daisy

UPDATE: OZZY HAS BEEN ADOPTED INTO AN AMAZING FOREVER HOME. NOW HE IS HOPING THAT DAISY WILL FIND THE SAME!!

The story below is one of history! Both Daisy and Ozzy have not let their past dictate their future and have learned to be loving, caring dogs that look forward not back. They are a joy!

We, Daisy and Ozzy, lived behind our house in a 4 by 8 foot run all day, every day. Our only shelter was an outdoor dog igloo that we snuggled in. Our jobs were to make puppies. Lots and lots of puppies! Daisy was a very good mother but was very sad because all of her babies were taking away when they were really young. One day our "family" moved away and left us behind in the run. When the landlord found us, he was not very happy so opened the gate and shooed us into the streets. This was very scary! We were never allowed in the yard let alone on the other side of the fence! A Good Samaritan neighbor found us running and knew that we wouldn't stand a chance, especially in our neighborhood! He took us in for a little while but when his landlord found out that he had us, he threatened to evict the good Samaritan unless he god rid of us so we were on the run again. Another Good Samaritan offered to help by calling rescues to see if maybe they could help us find a home. They suggested that we be spayed, neutered and vaccinated which I guess makes us more attractive, as if we are not cute enough, so we were! We spent a lot of time at a lot of different peoples houses in laundry rooms, garages and crates hoping that we would find a permanent home but did not. It was really nice actually being in a house, it was our first time. There are a lot of rules that we were not aware, like house training, but we are really smart and are pretty fast learners. A leash was another thing we never knew about - talk about intimidating! But, when we realized we get to go for walks OUT IN THE WORLD we quickly got on board because we LOVE TO WALK! We are now living in a kennel and looking for a forever home. We know our chances of both going to the same house is very small but as long as we both find a home, we are okay with that because we will have other people to love us!!! If we were not together, we would have to be the only dogs. We have never been around other dogs and do not know how to interact with them. If you do have room for both of us please know that we will need a strong pack leader! We are so used to taking cues from each other that we really do need training to understand that we will be okay if someone else is the top dog! Oh, and cats are not our favorite either, especially for Daisy. We know that we cannot stay here forever and are hoping that we will be a perfect fit, either together or separately!!! Come and meet us, we can talk a walk together!
