Changing Focus
When I am in pain, be it physical or emotional-it is difficult to look at things with a postive attitude. I do not want to think that everything is hard & it is not.
I took my phone back to the store, it stopped working & I kept thinking about it before I went, so much that the phone had become something I could not keep my mind off of.....what if they don't take it back? And on and on.
Because of being in pain, I focused on something else (the phone) & it just caused me more stress & the pain felt worse.
I really encourage you to stop yourself-its a phone-period. It is not some earth shattering problem to wreck my life. Yet we do these things......
In some circles it is called "stinking thinking". And it steals our joy! I did get off the train before it crashed (so to speak). I was able to do my erands & get on with my day & even took a nap-to ease my back from hurting.
The more we practise using healthy & life affirming tools, the easier it will become to look at things as a minor job to deal with-not some overwhelming obsticle.
You are Worth so much! Give yourself a tender break.
