Helping

What would you do if you could do anything you wanted?  Travel, move to Europe, sail around the world or start a charity that helps peopel in need?

The charity idea probably sounds the least appealing-and help those in need?  There are so many people that need help.

You can make a difference if you choose to.  Volunteering at a soup kitchen, after-school programs, at a hospital (there is actually a long waiting list at Sick Kid's Hospital) or at fundraisers-there are a lot of them out there.

I have done a lot of volunteering in my life & I have met so many wonderful people & some have connected me to employment.  In  my high school years I boarded horses for the church I grew up with.  I later worked, due to my experience with horses, with race horses.  I have loved horses since I was a kid & what a dream come true to work with them.

Helping at a shelter for animals is something you could do if that is more to your liking.  Or helping at a communtiy garden.  One person's ideas, along with like minded people, have created all the charities we have today.

A lot of places could not opperate if they did not have volunteers-or their ability to help would be limited.  We are all talented people and we have so much to offer if we start to write out things we would like to do, than use the internet to find places that may interest us & you are on your way to helping others.

Remember: when we help others, it nurtures us as well & gives us & others hope.
