Hero

I just finished watching an action movie-Captain America.  Over all it was a good film, it kept my interest & had special effects.  The hero is some one you would not expect; kind, thoughtful & he believed in what was right.

Do you have a hero or someone you look up to, admire & even try to emulate?  I have people I look up to & admire, & the really special ones I call my angels.

When I was in high school, I had a champion, my art teach-Jo Ryan.  She was my confidante, cheering squad, my mentor & so many other things too.  Most importantly, she believed in me.  I was so blessed to have her in my life-it was a very challenging time for me, in other words, life outside her class room was Hell.

I do not mean so say that I did not have any other supports or places I felt safe, but just to sum it up: I lived in constant fear-I lived in Hell, & Jo Ryan stood by me & held my hand when I was hurting.  I know that she is a Hero!

I know that in our society we 'Idolize or Idealize' people.  We think that big movie stars, hit singers, pro athletes, world leaders etc. have it all & we look up to them as Heros.  But ask yourself this-are they not people too?

Yes that sounds simple & I want to keep it simple.  Do you think Mother Teresa saw herself as a "Hero"?  What about Gandi?  Rosa Parks?  Jesus?

These are all people who strongly believed in justice & fairness for everyone. You can be a hero too!  Speak up for those who can't.  Choose peace over conflict.  Know that you deserve to be treated fairly.  Be willing to sacrifice today's comfort to help others in need.

You, me & all the people on this earth Are Worth So Much!

God Bless
