Addiction Free!
I want to celebrate a very special person in my life-this post is dedicated to her. This week will mark over 15 years of sobriety & she also stopped smoking soon after. I am so proud of her & she has been & still is a huge inspiration to me.
Oh the days we used to party & looking back, some of it was fun-an escape from the realities of life. But the fun times were also filled with fights-when you have had too much, you loose your inhibitions & the nastiness comes out. You say & do things, that can hurt people, things you normally would not do.
Also, when an addiction(s) becomes your primary focus, you start to take for granted the people who matter the most in your life. I say this from my own experience-I lost a lot of friends & stopped caring about anything but alcohol.
There is help out there for any type of addiction-you deserve to get help & learn healthy coping tools to deal with pain-we use to mask pain.
My friend, who this is dedicated to, is my confidante, cheering squad, fellow believer, & she is also a wonderful mother, smart, beautiful, kind, caring, thoughtful, giving, loving, compassionate & so, so much more.
I am truly blessed to have her in my life!
We Are All Worth So Much!
God Bless
J Christian S
