Beautiful

You are "Beautiful" by Mercy Me is playing & what an appropriate topic.  "You are treasured, you are made for more...you are meant for so much"

I was told repeatedly while I was growing up-You are ugly.  Even members of my family said this to me-it hurt me a lot & I still feel ugly at times.  Hurtful words can stick with us for a very long time.  Why do we think that putting someone down, saying mean & hurtful things to them makes us better than them-we are really hurting ourselves plus the person we say it to.

I am Not ugly!  I am Beautiful & so is everyone on this earth!

Years ago, when I lived in Montreal, I had words of affirmation, written in crayon, all around my room-an important reminder that words have power & we have the ability to build ourselves up with words that reflect how important, loved, cherished... we really are.

Please do not compare yourself to people in magazines, on TV, in movies etc.  Beauty, that is real, comes from inside your heart.  I have met so many so called attractive people, however, when they open their mouths'-to me, they are no longer attractive.  I am not saying this to put anyone down or to say I am better than them, I am not-the point I am trying to make is the outside of a person does not make them any better than anyone else.

Sadly, we live in a society where 'white, attractive' people are treated better than anyone else.  Do not buy into it.

We are all colourful people, we are all beautiful people.

We Are All Worth So Much!

God Bless
