Need/want continued
I wanted to touch on this topic some more. We want....the lastest faxhions, I-pads, cell phones, computers, dine out, take-out, fast food, vacations....& there is nothing wrong with wanting new things-but do we really need it all?
Buy now-pay later, what happens when later comes & you do not have the money to pay what you owe? You could declare bankruptcy-but you are also going to feel very hopeless.
Even if you are at a place where money is tight, there is hope. Look for sales, use a food bank if you really need to (I have used them in the past) look for receipes to make meals more enjoyable.
One very important thing to do is give. I truly believe in this & I am blessed for it in countless ways. If you can not give money, give your time-volunteer. If your family is a priority, plan fun times with them each week.
Another important thing-save. Even if you start with 25 cents per paycheck, in time you can increase it & you will be surprised how it adds up.
I, myself am feeling the financial strains right now & I am looking at things I can cut out, like having a lot of channels on TV & never watching them-so I went to basic cable. I am also reminding myself that just because it is on sale does not mean I need it!
I think that when you stop comparing with what some one else has & you do not, a great burden will be lifted from your shoulders.
We need support, friends/family, good health, food, shelter, water, exercise, hugs, fun, dancing, quiet times, rest & tons of Love!
God Bless
