Joy on Purpose

We can choose to be joyful on purpose-be thankful for another day, able to get around, quiet moments of reflection, talk to a friend, go on an adventure.

I do not feel joy when I get up in the morning & I have learned to keep my mouth closed before I have coffee & wake up.  I have been very rude to my room mate, cause I sometimes can be very cranky.

By nature, I am a positive person, but not joyful-so I need to chose it on purpose.  Growing up, life was very chaotic, being in a big family, sharing one bathroom, getting into fights with siblings & my parents, a lot-does not make for a joyous disposition.

When I left home to go to school-I found myself attracting people who felt fimiliar to me.  And I have continued to attract people who I need to learn from.  I have become close to very good people-everyone is human & not perfect.

Back to joy.  Do not allow others to steal your joy.  That may mean; not speaking to certain people who focus on the negative, giving yourself an affirmation/leaving for a few minutes when dealing with stressful situations, & most importantly-plan ahead of time on how you are going to take care of you.

I worked for one boss who I would purposely say 'Good Morning Sunshine' & it really helped to set the mood for the day.  Like anything, we need to practise to make joy part of us.  Even if a person does not respond to your happy hellos, you are doing for yourself.

You Are Worth So Much!

God Bless
