Healing Pain

I have been watching "For Colored Girls" this evening-oh the pain is coming out. It is so well done & worth watching, but, watch it during the day so you can process your feelings-it is quite intense.

I can identify with a lot of the characters; loving some one who keeps leaving & coming back, being abused, trying to find love anyway you can & trying to stay strong when your life is in turmoil.

I do not share any of this lightly.  It is so important to recognize your pain & the root cause of it.  If you grew up in abuse, more than likely, unless you have gotten help for it, you will be attracted to abuseful people-and it can be very suttle.

No matter where you are right now in your life, there is always help.  You are important, you deserve to take care of yourself.

The pain I am feeling tonight is mostly healing pain, some was very intense too-I feel it in my heart & place my hand on it to acknowledge it & to feel it & to let it go.

This did not happen to me overnight, yet anyone can learn to release pain in a way that does not consume you.

Having a really good cry is so vital-I do not do it often enough, I am still afraid of the pain released will crush me, but when I can, I remember to reach out afterwards (I do reach out when I feel as though it will not stop) to get support.

We feel pain so much in our lives & try to push it away-we will continue to feel the same pain over & over until we choose to deal with it in a gentle & healing manor.

Sharing your pain shows tremendous strength, those who say otherwise are hiding from their own pain.

You Are Worth So Much!

God Bless
