Have you ever thought to yourself-I hate myself or said it out loud? It is very common unfortunately & we can do it unconsciously.
When we put ourselves down, speak negatively about ourselves, belittle what we do & can not stand to be in our own skin-this is destructive & hurts us so very much that it can lead to more unhealthy thinking & behaviours.
Self-loathing is a common trait for people have who have been hurt so bad that it can become a huge part of them. We all have been hurt!
Nothing we say or do is ever good enough & we feel that we do not deserve anything good in our lives. Most sex trade workers have been abused & use their body to make money, believing they can have control (or are in control) when really, they are hurting themselves even more.
A lot of people stay in abusive relationships because their self-esteem has been so distorted they do not think there is any way out of it.
It happens in work places, so called friendships & sadly, in a lot of families.
We do not have to live like this!
No one is perfect, so Please forgive youself. If you do not know how then ask for help-you deserve to like yourself & then love yourself too!
I find myself being very critical of me when I compare myself to what society thinks I should look like & be doing & what I should have-does this help me in any possible way? Lift me up? Help me to inspire others? NO!
Please reach out when you catch yourself thinking hateful thoughts about you.
