Redemption

It is

not something

one can

buy

-you can

seek it

from others

& it

may seem

you have

received it...

No one

has the

power to

redeem us

-even though

many think

they possess

the authority...

I speak

of wrongs

done towards

another human

being

-you can

not undo

what has

been done...

You can

however

seek forgiveness

-& even

if the

person you

have wronged

will not

forgive

you can

forgive yourself...

Taking away

some ones

freedom is

one of

societies biggest

ways of

punishing

(where is

the rehabilitation

really happening

in prisons?)

-yet

so many

of us

imprison ourselves

with condemnation

guilt

shame...

This serves

no one

especially you

-say you

are sorry

with true

sincerity...

Let healing

begin

then redemption

can eventually

seep in...

I do not speak of this subject lightly.  I have hurt others in the past & have beat myself up for years-I have apologized to the people I can.  I have given to charity to lessen guilt & shame-I can not change the past, I can become a better person & seek redemption from God.

There is always Hope!
