A Dad?...

I do

not know

what a

fathers' affection

feels like

-it is

a mystery

unknown...

It is

not that

I did

not receive

any attention

-but there

was no

warmth

a connection...

I watch

fathers with

their kids

playing

-it is

like seeing

science fiction

unreal...

I now

have a

good relationship

with my

dad

-it is

still awkward

to hug

him...

I know

he tries

& that

is important

-a lot

of people

have never

known

a dad...

There is always hope!  I have had very caring men in my life-& I have great male friends.  So what I felt missing is being nurtured.
