Be supportive, not a dumping ground...

I listened

to a

stranger share

-telling of

his lot

in life...

Every one

is out

for themselves

-no one

cares about

him...

Except for

one person

-others do

not want

him around..

To let

him speak

-to share

his challenges

hurts

pain...

How life

is unfair

horrid

cruel

-no breaks

for him...

I prayed

as I

heard his

story

-it was

so intense...

One horrible

thing after

another

-he just

kept going...

I would

interject

-said I

could relate

identify...

Told him

there is

help

-crisis lines

prayer lines

councellors...

No

no one

cares

-he has

tried

no use...

Before we

parted ways

-I said

I will

pray for

you...

Seeds were

planted

nurtured

-maybe not

today

yet one

day soon...

He will

try for

help

-and receive

the love

he needs...

There is always Hope!  It is so hard to be around negative people-so please limit yourself or stay away (connect through email if that works).  We all hurt and it is important to be there for others, however, some are hurting so much that it can really affect you in an unhealthy way-there is help out there & it is not your job to fix people.
