Jeff passed out of this world on Memorial day, Monday May 27th at 8am surrounded by his family.
He started his transition on Friday, but had many good days until then. We thank everyone for their love, support, kind thoughts, and gifts through this difficult time.
Living in Oregon gave Jeff the ability to use medical marijuana, which was able to keep him pain free and without the need for opiates until the last two weeks. While he did not use death with dignity having that option available gave solace.
Jeff often expressed his appreciation for everyone's love and he thought that support along with alternative treatments is what kept him going with the relatively good quality of life he had longer than the average person with this prognosis.
There will be services later this summer both in Portland and at our land in the Olympic Peninsula and we will send out updates when plans have been made.
