Since we don't plan to go to Oregon on Mother's Day weekend we came up a week early to celebrate it with Mom. She's had a bit of a struggle recuperating from her leg injury and her surgery this past week but is progressively healing.
We took her out shopping Saturday and bought her two new outfits and some fancy gold shoes. Afterwards we took her out for a special dinner to Porters in Medford where she had rare ribeye steak with mushrooms and onions. She really enjoyed her sips of tawny port!
After taking her back to her apartment we called her sister Peggy in Canberra Australia. They both had a wonderful time visiting and both Aunt Peggy and Uncle Sid sound great!
Sunday we kidnapped her again and went on a long ride around the valley and ended up in Grants Pass for lunch. By the time we took her back to her apartment she was very relaxed and happy.
As far as she knows there are no others plans for a Mother's Day outing so she should be in Eagle Point on Sunday.
We told her we would see her next month and left to return to California.
