Finally!

Yesterday, I finally got the news I've have been waiting for!  The Genetic Specialist called me with the results of the genetic testing. These results are important because in my case, they determine the difference between a lumpectomy and a  mastectomy. The great news is that I will only need a lumpectomy. I will still need reconstruction (breast reduction) on both breasts so that everything looks similar but I feel blessed with more good news.

I now fully understand that not everyone gets happy phone calls.  I also understand the fear, stress and anxiety cancer brings even in the littlest form. My heart is with those who are struggling through larger fights than my own.

My surgery is still on for the 31st. It's coming fast! I am fearful and nervous about the surgery but I also know I am in capable hands. I then proceed with radiation. I have been told 4 weeks of radiation should be suitable but we will see how it goes.

I will post an update after the surgery! Thank you all for following this journey with me:) xoxox
