We thank you so much for your continued thoughts and prayers for the girls! It's a great encouragement to the girls (and to us) to know you are praying.
Here's an update from TC: This last week has been a bit emotional and worrisome. I took Becca to see the neurosurgeon because of numbness she feels when she bends her head forward. She is having to wear her neck brace more due to the numbness and to try not to flex her neck forward so much. They ordered two MRIs...one cervical and one thoracic. Our appt. is next week. We also had a follow up appt. with the "brain dr." (Dr. Wolfe) yesterday. He wants to do an ultrasound of her head arteries. Her left vertebral artery will never return to normal function. He is adjusting and changing some of her meds also. We also saw the ortho dr. last week and he ordered an MRI of her left hip. He said her pelvis and lumbar back were still healing. We are so blessed that all of you are still checking on our girls. Thank you so much. Kellie and Becca spoke at their high school twice this week: the FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) group and the Youth for Jesus club. Becca and Kellie are in this together as are Stacie and me. Thanks again for your prayers.
From Stacie: I've been studying the book of Philippians with my 5th graders. Paul writes about having JOY. One author writes "Joy is not the result of outward circumstances. Joy is an inside job, a deeply rooted confidence that God is in control. The Apostle Paul was a man of great joy. By human terms, he had every right to be angry and even bitter. Persecuted, imprisoned and facing His own death, Paul says,"
I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do everything through Him who gives me strength. (Philippians 4:12-13, NIV).
