Wednesday, Feb. 9 Kellie Update

Ugh, this week is a blur. We were up again most of the night. How does a kid taking 50 mg of benadryl every 4 hours for 3 days still not sleep? Poor baby! We've tried every topical suggestion and bath soak. Her arms actually hurt when I was patting them dry at 3:00 AM. She finally drifted off around 3:30 am. Her skin is still covered with this rash. I called a local dermatologist this morning; we have an appt. at 2:45. Who cares about health insurance, outside referrals, primary care physician approval?! Somebody please look at her and help us, thanks. The neurologist is seeing her tomorrow. Why tomorrow? Why not today? Eek.

A friend sent this scripture this morning from Ezekiel 36:26 And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart.

Here's my paraphrase of this promise: And I will give you new skin, and I will put a better immune system in you. I will take away this itchy, stubborn rash and give you pure skin and a good night's rest.  AMEN!
