Update

We are still in search of a kidney, although we have been incredibly lucky to have had three people already be tested and willing to do the transplant but they weren't a match. We are so grateful for the people who have been tested and put themselves out there to change a life. Chris is O positive and currently doing well with his creatin levels, blood pressure and hypertension. He has been working hard at doing whatever it takes to stay in as good a shape as he can so that he is in a good position for a transplant. We have been on this journey for 2 years and hopefully we can get a donor by 2019. [...]

Wedding Event

Chris has always talked about two milestones he wants to be here to witness, and those would be seeing our kids weddings and the birth of his grandchildren. He is more than thankful that he has achieved at least one of his goals but he would like to live more of these benchmark days. Please help by passing on the word and maybe there is someone out there that wants to give a special gift.[...]

Chris: Feb. 3, 2018

First of all, I want to sincerely thank all of my friends that have taken the time to check on me.. Every hope and prayer is greatly appreciated. I continue to stick to my daily routine and follow my doctors' orders closely. Other than experiencing a little more fatigue than I have been accustomed to, there has been no debilitating pain, yet. I hope to move up on the Transplant Rolls before I hit those stages. I'm trying to be realistic about being tired. After all, I do qualify for the Senior Discount at Denny's now. Much thanks to all, once more, and if you should see a spare kidney laying around......[...]

Chris and Cindy

I have known Chris for over 55 years since we were both middle schoolers in Illinois. He was raised by a loving mother and his father was a college professor, air force veteran, who moved his family from base to base. He is the oldest of his 4 siblings and was always a great role model for the others as they grew up.[...]
