May Musings - 2020

May 1, 2020 – Update

I have had mixed feelings about posting on the Post Hope site.  With everything going on in this crazy world I felt bad ... that people are losing family, friends, individuals over this COVID-19 pandemic.  I want to let everyone who reads this know that every day I am grateful to God that I am still here to – from afar – enjoy grandchildren, spring time and just being around – none of us know how long we have -- so try and live every day like it is special.  Treat people the way you want to be treated – I thank and pray to God every day not just for myself but for everyone – family, friends, EVERYONE! We did.  I was given fluids and was released because no fever and blood work looked good.  They also did a CT scan of the brain because of the headache which also came back normal. [...]

Grand kids are my life and joy!

On Wednesday, June 12, 2019 we met with Dr. Gadgeel at U of M Medical Center.  He was very pleased to tell me that the tumors (rib, lymph nodes and kidney) had decreased in size since the April 29, 2019 CT scan.  He was very happy with the results.  He has decided to see me on a regular basis and to personally manage all my treatments and medications (with the approval of Dr. Balaraman,) Royal Oak Beaumont Oncologist.  I am a “case study” for the university and very happy to have him. [...]
