Things have been going pretty well – I do have good days and bad days but with all that could be going on I am very grateful.
August 1, 2019 I had a CT scan without contrast, per Dr. Gadgeel. He did not want the contrast just to make sure my blood work has remained constant and in good order – which it has. The scan was none conclusive in that it was not a good complete reading of all areas.
After discussion with Dr. Balaraman, my Royal Oak oncologist, and contact with Dr. Gadgeel we decided to continue with the chemo pill twice daily and do another CT scan with contrast at the end of September, 2019 (a specific date has not yet been determined).
I get weekly blood work taken just to make sure everything is at normal/good levels.
I have been feeling okay – a lot of the side effects of the medication are notable. My energy level is still a bit low (editor’s note…Karen, you still have more energy than most) and I have to take a lot of breaks because with this humidity it has been hard to breath – been staying in the house a lot (editor's note...thank goodness you have air conditioning....smiley face).
I appreciate all the prayers and support – that is what keeps me going along with all the family and friends!
Thank you everyone for your love and prayers!
Love & prayers – love & hugs!
