Had the CT scan completed with contrast on September 27, 2019.
We got good news and not so good news.
There was decrease in the lung area, the rib is not showing any signs of increasing in size but was referenced in the scan report.
It was detected that a lesion in the liver that was not definitively seen on the 8/1/2019 exam was present in retrospect on 6/3/2019. It did increase in size. The kidney also showed an enlarging lesion that the doctor mentioned.
I also had fluid in the left chest cavity – which on October 8, 2019 I had removed. They removed a total of 870 cc of fluid utilizing negative suction bottles. I was amazed at how much fluid it was. I felt immediate relief in my breathing because this allowed the lungs to expand which helped in lung capacity and breathing.
Royal Oak Beaumont Hospital, Dr. Balaraman, Oncologist and Dr. Gadgeel the U of M Oncologist have all been very supportive – as usual.
The steps ahead are still unknown. We are waiting to see what the fluid origin is. Both doctors did mention having a PET scan done followed by a biopsy but it was not indicated if it was on the liver or kidney in our conversation. Radiation of the liver and kidney were also mentioned.
I am again on a roller coaster ride – going this way and that but I am up to the challenge. I won’t let this get the best of me – I am strong, determined and possess a will that just won’t stop.
I love my grandkids and family so much and with their continued support, love and encouragement – I will and am the “miracle child.”
I appreciate all the prayers and support!
Thank you everyone for your love and prayers!
Love to all – God blessings!
