Safe In His Arms, Now and Forever
Psalm 116:15 ~ Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.

Mom peacefully passed away this morning at 7:23 am, surrounded by four of her seven children. We spent two hours talking to her, reminiscing and assuring her it was okay to let go.  We think she told God to take her the long way around to heaven as she was not wanting to let go. We figured she wanted to take the more scenic route! Since Brent was the only one of her children that she hadn't seen this last month or heard his voice,  we called him and held the phone to her ear so he could say "I love you Mom". Shortly after, she took her last breath. We can't even begin to explain how tranquil the moment was. God's presence was evident. We stayed with her for a long while and even helped the staff with her final bath. If you knew Mom, she would be appalled if she knew she was not suitably ready to be in public. We made sure the excess hair on her face was removed and even polished her nails.  She is now home, in the arms of Jesus...... pain free, cancer free and has a full head of hair!

We will update everyone with details of calling hours and the funeral as soon as we know. Thank you for your continued prayers, your love and support. We are very grateful for our family and friends.

MOM'S FINAL QUOTE

Now if you know our Mom, you can absolutely envision her saying to us all as she sports her new  life:  "HOW DO YOU LIKE ME NOW??!!"

Love to you all. I can see the big smile on her face as she first saw her Lord and Savior. She was a very special lady!

Thank you Janie. Dad (Uncle Gene) was waiting for her! She spoke his name two times, 2 nights ago as she opened her eyes and looked beyond us. So very comforting.
