Day 342...

We've been hoping to get Luke and the fam to an ocean this summer, and I'm so happy to say that I'm writing this from Cape Cod!

Luke needed platelets on Monday, and based on how he did with these chemo drugs 3 weeks ago, we expected that he'd need blood and platelets by Thursday or Friday. Day 334...

On Sunday, Luke said, "I'm not excited for chemo tomorrow but I know I'll do better than last time." I love his optimism, and it seems like he was right. Good days...

He's even motivated me to go running a couple of times.[...]

Day 318...

I just looked back at my last post, and was surprised to see that it was 5 days ago! It feels like it's been longer.

Luke has been feeling much better since he turned the corner on Saturday evening. His appetite has been really good, and he’s put about 4 pounds back on. He's been keeping busy. He’s been to the beach (with Penny), the pool, the Northbrook farmers market, parties (the dog kind and people ones too) and more.[...]

Day 313...

Luke has had a couple more not so great days since I last wrote, but he seemed to turn a corner in the pool late this afternoon. I guess the water and a little socializing with the hosts were just what he needed.[...]
