she is not with us...she is HOME

Marian's journey to joy was completed at around 8:30 am on Wednesday June 1. Her passing to eternal life with her Savior was peaceful. The agony is over, now the joy has begun for Marian. In the moments preceding her death Jim was holding her hand and telling her of his love, surrounded by the Hospice Doctor and nurses who, believers themselves, have so lovingly cared for Marian over the past 10 days. The Lord was present in those sacred and holy moments.

A Memorial Service is scheduled for Monday, June 20 at 1:15pm at The Village Church on the Shell Point campus. The service is to be conducted by the Rev Neil Clarke, who was pastor to the Davey family in Nyack, NY when Lynn was a collegian and Steve in high school.

We have been bathed in love, prayer, and warm wishes over these five months to a degree that has overwhelmed us. Thank you especially for your affirmations to Marian that let her know the effect of her life and the extent of her influence. We love you back!

Thank you for following. The Davey and Rose family: Jim, Lynn & Kevin, Steve & Sally, Braeden, Emma, Ethan, Claire, Miranda, Lily

Dear Jim, Lynn and the entire family, My heart is so full as I just read this. My heartfelt sympathy to you all. Your loss is also our loss, to those of us privileged enough to have known and loved dear Marian. I grieve with you, but also rejoice with you, knowing she is at last Home and at rest with Our Father. May His love envelope you all at this time, and His peace and comfort be with you. Loving and praying for you. Pam

Love to all of you from half away around the world. Sure wish I could join you for your memorial service of a life well lived for Jesus, her Savior. Marian was a great encourager to me during my year at Shell Point. I am a better person for having known her.

"And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words." May the presence and advocacy of the Holy Spirit hold us all close as we grieve. Even in our grief there is great thanks for the joyous privilege of being woven together in life with our dear friend Marian. Love to you, Jim, and your precious family during these days.

Thanks be to God. Marian is now "present with the Lord," and free from all the restrictions, limitations and pain of our earthly existence. Our prayers continue for you, Jim and for the whole family. He who welcomed Marian continues to be your comfort, peace, and hope. And, there also continues to be the great host of friends you have both made during your life of ministering to the needs of others. We intend to be with you as well. Neal and Carol

Jim, I was so relieved to hear that Marian had passed on to experience all the promises to us as believers. When I think of Marian, it her gorgeous smile full of joy that first comes to mind. Then her erect posture, and her beautiful athletic frame. (swimmer) But of course her sweet and kind, outgoing nature was more than outstanding. You chose a beautiful woman, Jim. May your glorious memories be your continued blessing. Willie

Marian...my beautiful Sunday School teacher who taught me about God's love and His Word over 50 years ago and has remained faithful to HIM and you, Jim, all these years. She was always so kind, loving, and smart! A wonderful role model for so many of us. May our Lord comfort you every moment of every day as you rejoice in Marian's amazing life--God's light shined brightly through her. And still does! Thank you for sharing this journey with us. Love in Him, Carolyn (Cathey) and Jay Castelli
