Time flies when your having "FUN". My late October entry...
It really takes some serious discipline to stay up to date here, but I will definitely get better at updating my progress. Honestly, I have lacked the overall motivation. As each day goes by, everything starts feeling very routine, but it shouldn't. My days are filled with constant discussions on where my health is and where we want it to go. I have said it before, it is really a roller coaster ride. I have my good days and my bad days. As long as there is good days, it gives me hope and inspiration.[...]
Well, I have learned very quickly there is a first time for everything. Since, everything is a first time, I guess I shouldn't be surprised.
So, last week I was scheduled for Treatment #4 on 9/11. First off all it is always a very somber drive in to the city on the 11th. Already there is a heaviness of the heart the night before through the the day. [...]
Round #2, time flies....
The weeks are starting to move at a normal pace now. I’m feeling pretty good at this point prior to treatment again. My appetite has been really good throughout and the lingering tiredness comes and goes. Overall, doing well.[...]
Little by little I am getting caught up on the timing of my entries. :)
I hit a little snafu Saturday night. I had been doing so well coming off the pump, that we decided to stop taking the anti-nausea medication a day early. Not a good idea!! Needless to say, I got some severe stomach cramps around 2am Sunday with some vomiting. Once the stomach cramps subsided, everything went back too "normal". Note to self - stay on anti-nausea medication. Its your friend!![...]
This week, we have so many different appointments..
- Monday (7/29)
- MRI w/ contrast (7am)
- Port Surgery (1030am)
- CT Scan w/ contrast for Clinical Trial
- More blood work.....
MRI - To set the proper baseline, Dr. Bates requested that I get an MRI of my Abdomen, since the CT scan was over 4 weeks old at this point.[...]
