This will allow you to receive updates, read journal entries, make donations, share Fr Edward Prus’s story on social media, and help the family with week-to-week calendaring needs. Though not mandatory to follow Fr Edward Prus’s page, we encourage you to easily create an account with your name and email in order to be able to post photos, leave comments and sign up as a helping hand on the Calendar page. Feel free to upload a photo of yourself to your profile so we can get to know and recognize others on Fr Edward Prus’s support team. After clicking “Follow” above, read on to learn more about what you can do to help.

If you have something pressing you'd like suggest that everyone sees (e.g. a fundraiser or upcoming event you're spearheading), please don't hesitate to contact us via private message so we can consider sharing it more widely in the Journal sections. There will undoubtedly be many coordinated efforts and events ahead, and we want to make certain they’re organized and publicized through this site to help drive the greatest possible impact.

This is an up-to-date calendar which will list the family's immediate needs such as child-care, rides, and meals to help most in the short term. If you see a need posted and can fill it, please sign up through the calendar page directly (i.e. not through private communication) to let us and others know that you've committed to that need. Please check back often to help out with the most recently posted needs!
Notifications: After clicking “Follow” above, you’ll then see a tab to manage “Notifications”. For example, if you want to receive journal updates but not new calendar posts, or any combination of notifications from this site, you can do set them to your preference this section.
Don’t Forget! If you haven’t done so already, please click “Follow” on the top right. It’s your very next step to showing your support!

Fr Prus has given me permission to share with his flock updates on his recent medical condition. I know everyone has concern for our dearest Shepherd- brother , father & friend !!!!! We are all One Big Family with open hearts to serve him. Please share this site for others to join . Fr Prus was admitted to Beaumont Hospital last Friday from an exacerbation of side effects from his 90 yr old tired heart (congestive heart failure). His melanoma surgery on the back of his head was just 2 days before on Wed. This resulted in with weakness, fatigue & slight mental fogginess . The Surgeon for his head said the pathology reports were A-OK .everything looks good . He returned back joyfully to his "Home Sweet Home" to St James on Monday evening With treatment of rest, nutrition , medication , he has since regained his strength & says " I feel resurrected " He is using his walker per self, slowly with no exertion . He has requested no visitors at this time . "Too many distractions" I shall definitely share his wishes when he gives the Thumbs up! For now, he is so happy to be independent in his familiar surroundings . Safety bar handles have been installed & Life Alert to be started this week . I am hoping to begin a Calendar Meal plan soon from this site One day at a Time, Sweet Jesus! With Love, Mary Jo & Art Cairo

The Barnes family continues to hold you in our hearts . We are grateful your health and stamina are improving daily. I’ve been thinking about a funny “Fr Prus story”. It was in the 1970s - you came for dinner and Amy (now 49) and Matt (now 52) had a pet guinea pig which they got out of its cage to show you. Well, the little animal started running Allier and eventually ran under the dining room hutch. So we have this memory of you - on on your hands and knees, crawling around with the kids trying to capture the “pig”. It was hilarious!! Most of our memories are of you in church, funeral homes, and hospitals.....always trying to save humans. Well, one time you helped save a guinea pig! We love you!🙏🏻🙏🏻
As always we send our prayers to Father Prus for good health. Gerry and Peggy Mato
